Maui WOWIE!

Tylee was so good on her first plane ride. she slept most of it. and on the way home, she slept the whole time! including during our 3-hour lay over. she was amazing!

we went out to dinner every night! and they were all nice places (when i say nice- i mean expensive) i love to go out though. there was a strip of shops and restaurants that we went to each night, and it was parallel with the ocean- it was such a fun surrounding.

on our way home from Hana- Steph and Rilee threw up from being so car sick (have you heard about the "road to Hana?" you would completely understand why they threw up. So when we pulled off to clean the mess, Darren finally found some waves and he had to get in. they were huge waves and all he wanted to do was "catch some waves" and he did. and he liked it. a lot!

and believe it or not- i went in the ocean! and didn't catch waves, but it felt nice and refreshing and it was worth trying out! other than the coral... rocks.. whatever was ripping our feet apart...

Tylee loved the pina coladas! she had to try everything we ate. she goes na na na na until you feed her and then when you do, she claps her hands! ha.. so cute.

the pool area was awesome. they had rock features, 10 hot tubs (well, a lot) kids pool, slides. very cool...

since she wasn't a fan of the sand (yeah- she hated it) i had her in her stroller for majority of her trip. she loves her stroller though- thank goodness.

or she was on my lap- never on the sand.

i tried so hard to get her to warm up to the ocean, but that was a little too far out of her comfort zone. even when i was holding her and she knew i was going to set her down- she would cling on to me as if it was her dear life.

i love this cute smile of hers! and her eyes in that sun just make them pop!

when we went snorkeling, they had a cool glass bottom for kids to go see the ocean. the girls loved it

so this trip was the first time i had gone snorkeling in the ocean! it was hard to grasp the concept of breathing under water. (not to mention i have a tenancy of feeling claustrophobic) anyway, once i got the hang of it, i really enjoyed it! i wanna go again... :) when it isn't too cold.

this night was so fun! mike was so nice and got us a reservation at this luoa (sp? no idea) and then him and denise said they would watch the kids for us! what a treat! it was awesome- we felt like "high rollers" pretty much.. and even though the food wasn't exactly my favorite- it was good times with good people.

well, how many times do you go to a restaurant and your waiter has his shirt off! so, well.. we got a picture!

there was a table of 3 elderly couples sitting next to us that we chatted with a little bit throughout the night and when they saw me and steph get that picture with the waiter, one of he men leans over and says, "don't worry, we'll take care of it" or something? (i had no idea what the heck they were talking about- but i was laughing anyway) turns out they asked their waiter to get the hula dancers to come and get a picture with the boys when they were done. so as soon as they were done, the hula girls walked down and got a picture! it was funny!

The kids did awesome on the trip. although they had runny noses, coughs, throw-ups, they were fun and easy going!

Tylee loves Kyson! she would laugh whenever she saw him walking her way!

Now we are back to reality. We all had a blast. And it was fun being with the Wilsteads- I think they are starting to understand me more. Sometimes i'm quiet- just because and sometimes i am extremely wierd. and sometimes im bossy to darren. and i love that i am understanding them and all their personalities as well! what a fun family that im lucky to be a part of!
