Annual Lake Powell Trip :: 2010

so it begins...

the wilsteads go the Lake Powell every year with their family friends. this is Darren's most favorite trip. time for fun in the sun and rest and relaxation (for most).this is darling Trinity. Her mom, Mindy got them these cute matching dresses! SO CUTE! and Trinity's grandma, Barbara, made Tylee the cutest skirt! so incredibly nice of them! no escape from golf, but darren wasn't mad at all. Randy (in red shorts) had set up a course with holes and flags and everything. They had a tee time set every evening. Even had a ladies night where we got to play free, unfortunately, there was babies and children that needed to be attended to- it was a nice thought though. lol.

i have never seen this done, and they did a great job at doin it.


Conner is the biggest stud! hopefully one day he will take Tylee out on a date (8 year difference- not too bad, or is it?) Anyway, he wanted to go wakeboarding at the same time as Darren.
He would continually say, "gosh, she is so cute." (referring to Tylee) made me laugh..

Kayak racing. Too bad our team was ahead but darren tipped his! lame... it was funny though.

naps on the boat. i believe this was the only nap i got on the whole trip. and i loved every second of it! darren was on the back right behind us asleep as well.

she is a beauty!!

every single time we got on the boat, Tylee would zonk out. This is when she had her naps. worked out... she isn't a huge fan of the life vest. but when the boat was going- she was good!

we have a CLIMBER on our hands. She takes up any opportunity to climb anything. Here on the boat, these stairs were her favorite place to go.

wakeboarding. this is where i was most of the time because i had a really hard time going back inside the wake.

surfing. although i was able to get up the first time, i couldn't ever get comfortable enough to let go of the rope. it was fun and one day i will be able to.

He has gotten really good at this surfing thing.

this weird chair thing. he was the only one in the group that could get up and stay up. man it's hilarious cause they would go up and crash down so hard. there seemed to be no control on this thing.

Barefoot. ouch. But i guess he can do it all.

and wakeboarding.

it was a fun trip and i am glad we went. tylee was such a champ. at night she would sleep with us. she would roll all over the place until she would fall asleep, we would just act like we were sleeping and one time we fell asleep before she did. (so glad she didn't climb off). on our way home she slept almost the entire time! (5-6 hour drive) and then came home and a couple hours later went to bed and slept all night. she was exhausted.
